Research Paper Award Winner Announcement
The Research Paper Award is hosted each year by the Education Research Committee (ERC) and is underpinned by the ASME goal of promotion of high-quality research into medical education.
The shortlisted finalists for this prestigious award usually present at the ASME Annual Scholarship Meeting (ASM). However due to the pandemic they presented as part of a Research Showcase for the ASMEBITESIZE programme on Wednesday 13th January, judged by a panel of ERC committee members.
ASME are pleased to announce the winner of the ERC RPA 2020 as Dr Dawn Jackson from the University of Birmingham Medical School who presented her research Expectations and Experiences: The contribution of supervision to the professional development of postgraduate General Practice Trainees
Dawn stated: “It's fantastic to have such a well-established platform to showcase research in Medical Education. The insights, support and connections made through the ASME research award have helped to develop my research message and move toward a greater impact. Getting to know Eva and Michael (and their excellent work) has highlighted areas of common interest, along with new ideas, which have all been part of my scholarship journey”
Dawn has been awarded a monetary prize of £250 and a certificate
