Award information
The EDC is pleased to announce the 2021 awards and invites applications from members of ASME.
Judging will be undertaken by three members of the core EDC. This will be against thecriteria below. It is highly recommended that applications address each of these aspects;
- novelty of the project
- degree of collaborative working
- proposed methodology
- potential reproducibility of the innovation across specialisms
- potential impact of the innovation
- the overall quality of the submission
In addition please indicate in your application how the monies will be spent. The award will specifically target those projects where other sources of funding are unlikely to be available.
Successful applicants will be expected to present an oral paper on the innovation at the ASM during the EDC “Innovative, interesting and prize-winning work” forum. (ASM to be held in Warwick, UK, July 2021).
Up to two awards are available annually.
Applications are invited from ASME members in the form of a 1,000 word description (excluding references) of the innovation in word format.
